Fringe Festival - Visual Arts (performance and visual arts events) from website - "The KC Fringe Festival's goal is to provide artists an opportunity to create and perform new material right here in our backyard!" Visual Arts Display - The Kansas City Fringe Festival is once again proud to bring you our unjuried, uncensored Visual Arts Show at Union Station! At this show you will experience visual art in all its forms from painting, to photography to sculpture and more. There will be something for everyone at this feast for the eyes. Come to our opening gala at Union Station to meet the artists and enjoy local food and entertainment. Also, don't forget to vote in our exciting FringePrize competition! Voting will begin during the opening. The public is invited to come vote for their favorite or favorites among the entries, and the artist with the most votes wins our fabulous FringePrize! Iron Artist - Several contestants, a box of art supplies, and a mystery ingredient. What will they create? Who decides the winner? You do of course! Whoever has the most votes at the end of an hour wins our fabulous prize and prestige as the Iron Artist! This exciting event takes place next to our Visual Art Show at Union Station! Fringe With Benefits - The Fringe Festival has been an extravaganza of avante grade art in Kansas City for over a decade. For this year on the Fringe we are proud to display "mature" art at our Fringe With Benefits display! Leave the kids at home because this art is for adult eyes only. No subject is taboo with the Fringe Festival, so come out and enjoy the riskier side of art! Fringe with Benefits will run at the Arts Asylum. Make sure to take in a show while you're there! |
